Hello my friends,
Does it feel like Fall yet where you are? There’s just something about September that makes me feel brand new. Do you feel that way, too? Perhaps the years and years of starting a new school year imprinted it into our systems, and, it’s literally a new year for those celebrating the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah so happy new year wishes to us all!

Are you feeling the itch to start something new? Some people like to use this as a time for reflection or a new beginning. I’m all for positive self-reflection in all its forms and checking in with yourself to see how you are doing, what’s missing in your life, or where you could use a little extra boost.

Personally, I’m feeling the call to do more for others, something that can contribute to the common good and healing the collective. I’ve learned so much over the last year, concluding my studies in mindfulness, wellness and somatic coaching at the Mindfulness Coaching School and receiving certification from the International Coaching Federation, and I have so much to share with you!

I’m talking about stress resilienceemotional wellnessself-compassionradical self-love and acceptancemindsetempowermentcourage, and getting in touch with your truest, innermost self. This is some powerful stuff! Are you ready for it?

I’ve got a number of in-person and online workshops coming up that are going to be so much fun- I’d love to see you! I’m also available for individual, one-on-one coaching as well as team wellness sessions on mindfulness and stress management for your office or group.

Here’s a quick mindfulness practice for you: Close your eyes, place your hand on your heart and breathe in deeply. Repeat to yourself “I am my oldest and dearest friend. I love myself deeply.” Allow yourself to exhale slowly and gently. Repeat 2-3 more times. End by wrapping your arms around yourself in a hug and squeeze. Carry on with your day.

Be well,

Oh hey, one more thing – I’m in a book! I’m the mindfulness contributor in “The Modern Loss Handbook: An Interactive Guide to Moving Through Grief and Building Your Resilience” which aims to help you do three things: Stay connected to your person, stay connected to yourself, and stay connected to the world around you. And it’s meant to be used at any point after a loss so if you or someone you know is dealing with grief and loss I encourage you to check it out.

Mindfulness is such a powerful tool, and when we learn its various tools and practices, we can employ it at any moment. Think of it as a secret super power to get you through whatever wave is hitting you. Take some time to practice in community with us and get you into a mindset that will help you to be kinder to, well, you.
